We often work with global industrial companies, partnering with them in reviewing acquisition opportunities that contain a business segment of the target company that may either not be of interest or cannot be acquired, due to competition authority conflicts.  In these instances OceanBridge will provide a backstop offer for the undesired business segment.  Additionally, we work with mid-size family owned companies that are facing generational ownership changes or staged exits for existing investors.  Our structure allows us to easily accommodate a seller retaining a stake in the acquired company and provides the ability to hold the investment for much longer periods, than a traditional private equity fund will.  Consequently, we avoid the inherent conflicts between investors and fund managers due to dynamics of the fund raising cycle.
